So how does it work?

"Yeah, yeah, Taj rips. Sharks are scary. But how does this stuff work anyway? I need some science, man!"

Well, dear reader, allow us to throw on the lab coat and goggles, and hit you with some facts.

While sharks locate prey using a number of different senses, their vision is the key sense used in the final moments before an attack.

The SAMS Diverter design breaks up the silhouette of the surfboard to appear as separate objects, unlike normal shark prey, such as a seal. This reduces the risk of a mistaken identity bite and allows critical time to exit the water.
